ABOUT THE SHOW:


THIS LIFE! a love story set in 1875 Victorian England, follows Maggie, as she takes care of her two younger sisters and her alcoholic father.  Never having a life of her own, Maggie finally makes a choice for herself that transforms her life and the lives of everyone around her.

Based on the play “"Hobson’s Choice”" by Harold Brighouse, the comedy and romance of “THIS LIFE!” is delightfully enriched with Deb Silver’'s memorable compositions, blending the musical styles of “Gilbert & Sullivan” and “The Beatles.”

ABOUT DEB SILVER - COMPOSER/LYRICIST


Born into a family of talented musicians, Deb Silver is a jazz vocalist, composer and theater performer living and working in the United States and England.  Along with her work as a published songwriter, recording artist, music producer/arranger, and piano accompanist, Deb’s achievements include three one-woman musical shows.

 

Staged readings of her full-length musical, THIS LIFE!, for which she is composer, lyricist, and librettist. Her original songs have been featured in independent films, while she has lent her vocals to numerous bands, studio albums and voiceovers for infomercials, video, and television. As the founder and director of The Silver Voice Method and The Natural Voice Studio, Deb taught vocal techniques and performance workshops to hundreds of students in New York City.

 

Deb appears regularly at Florida and NYC nightclubs whilst also performing at private parties and cabarets with combos, big bands and as a solo entertainer. She gave a successful sneak preview to 250 of Prince William’s VIP guests at Kensington Palace of her latest Album "In Spring"
